Photo of Engine #39's Last Run Out Of Manorville Station

Kevin from the Manorville Florist, had viewed my paintings at www.millenniumgalleries.com and then said he knew someone interested in hiring me to do a commissioned work.

It was at the First Annual Manorville Chamber of Commerce Celebration (2004) that Kevin  introduced the owners of the Maples, Bob and Martie Elliott.  In a small town, you know everyone, even if you don't realize it.  Bob and I went to high school together and Bob's father and my grandfather had been close friends.

The photo above is from Bob's collection.  He wanted a mural on the wall of a 48 foot by 8 1/2 foot storage trailer in The Maples backyard.  Bob's idea was a mural depicting Engine #39.  I said, "I can do it."  He said, "If you can do it, do it."

Bob said that it would be nice to point the train in the other direction, that is, the direction it was going when it was last seen, on its last run from Manorville, in 1955.
